Facelifted Maserati Quattroporte gets new trims

The 2016 Maserati Quattroporte has just gone on sale in the UK, and it comes available with new trims.

Not only did the Quattroporte receive a facelift, but it also came back for 2016 with new options available to buyers.

GranLusso and GranSport are the two new trim levels that have been introduced with the new and improved 2016 model.

The grand tourer, which is currently in its sixth-generation, has been around since the 1960’s, making it truly special.

Although, it has changed greatly over the years, it has always remained true to the original Quattroporte.

The facelifted 2016 version, comes with a new front bumper, which gives it a slightly chunkier appearance. It’s not a huge change; however, it’s a noticeable one that will likely be clear to fans of the previous models.

According to the brand, the car’s new shape, improves its aerodynamic drag by around 10%, making the vehicle much more appealing to some. Performance, is very important when it comes to slightly more upscale models, so we would be surprised if the brand didn’t upgrade anything in that area, but thankfully, it did.

As for the interior, although it remains unchanged for the most part, it’s much tidier and a new 8.4-inch touchscreen, now takes centre stage. It controls the infotainment system, and is compatible with Android Auto as well as Apple CarPlay.

When it comes to the new trims, the GranLusso focuses on luxury, with 20-inch alloys and silk upholstery seats, whilst the GranSport, as the name suggests, is all about sportiness, with 21-inch alloy wheels and gloss black interior finish.

Both are fantastic additions to the Quattroporte line-up, giving customers more options to make their vehicles unique.

Depending on what you are after, each trim option offers quite a lot; however, they do come with a steep price tag.

The facelifted model is now on sale, with prices starting at around £70,500, making the vehicle slightly more upscale.

It’s probably not for someone after a smaller, family car; however, if you’re a fan of luxury and are after something extravagant and grand, the new Quattroporte will likely tick all your boxes.
